Midsummer's Love

Midsummer's Love is a visual novel dating simulator, where the player chooses and tries to woo a girl of their choice before the Midsummer celebration. They will participate in a variety of random activities, including dates, conversations, and gift-giving, and need to make the right choice based on the girl they have chosen. However, there is also an enemy at work trying to disrupt their progress through sabotage. Can the player rack up enough romance points to guarantee a date to Midsummer, or will they be left in the dust?

This game is a proof-of-concept piece for creating a digital single-player story creator model with randomly generated events for increased replayability. While there are still glitches to figure out and no actual dialogue, this game does show how this model could be useful for visual novels and where the limitations are.
